Therapy & Coaching for Women Who Can't Switch Off

You've tried to figure this out on your own. You're good at that. But this one isn't shifting.

If any of this sounds familiar.

You're tired but your brain won't stop. You get into bed and suddenly there are twenty things running through your head that weren't there five minutes ago. You're replaying conversations, planning tomorrow, worrying about something you said three weeks ago.

You function well. People rely on you. But inside it's louder than anyone would guess.

You're the one who holds it together.

You show up. You deliver. You're reliable in ways other people aren't. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, you stopped being able to tell whether you're actually okay or just very good at saying you are.

Before you talk yourself out of it.

If you're already thinking "this is probably silly" or "I should be able to manage this", you're not alone in that. That may well be one of the things we might talk about in session.

What tends to change.

People often describe feeling lighter. Less like they're carrying something they can't put down.

They understand themselves better, where their patterns come from, why they respond the way they do. That understanding tends to bring more self-compassion and less of the relentless self-criticism.

They communicate differently. Set boundaries without the guilt spiral. Stop people-pleasing by default and start making actual choices about how they want to show up.

And they're still as capable. Still getting things done. Just not at the same cost to themselves.

In fact, many find they start doing more of the things that are actually for them. Things they'd quietly stopped making room for.

You don't have to arrive with answers.

I'm not here to tell you what's wrong with you or hand you a list of things to fix. I see myself as a guide, someone alongside you with the knowledge and training to help you find your own way through.

I've spent years in fast-paced professional environments before retraining as a psychotherapist. I understand what it's like to be high-functioning and stretched. That context doesn't leave the room.

You'll be met where you are. Not where you think you should be.

I believe in every client I work with. And I'll hold hope for you until you're ready to hold it yourself.

Coaching: £130 per session, 50 minutes. Coaching works best as defined periods of work rather than open-ended sessions. We'll agree a rhythm that suits you, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, and work within a container that has shape and intention. Less frequent sessions are priced to reflect the holding and support that continues between us. We can discuss what works best for you in the consultation.

Therapy sessions are available through Bupa, AXA, Aviva and WPA for those with private health insurance.

Frequently asked questions.

  • My style of therapy might not be what most people expect. I use Transactional Analysis which can be more dynamic than some other approaches, so you won't just be talking about the past. The difference with coaching is that it adds explicit action taking and accountability, and you get the benefit of my psychotherapy background informing everything we do. If you're not sure which fits, the consultation is the place to work that out together.

  • Yes. I work with clients online across the UK. In person sessions are available at my practice room in the Ouseburn, Newcastle.

  • We start with a free 20 minute phone consultation to talk about what's brought you here and whether we're a good fit. If we decide to work together, the first full session is an assessment session and all about getting to know each other and beginning to understand what you're carrying and what you want to be different.

  • That varies from person to person. Some people come for a focused piece of work over a few months. Others work with me longer term. We'll talk about what feels right for you in the consultation.
